Please arrive at the ride location with enough time to have your bike ready to roll at the scheduled time.
Also it is recommended that you bring tire tools, frame pump, spare tube, patch kit and water bottle to all rides.
A helmet is legally required for all minors and OCW REQUIRES THAT ALL ADULTS WEAR A HELMET.
Earphones are illegal and unsafe. Please remember that the California Vehicle Code applies to bicycles.

The Saturday rides are offered to improve individual and group riding skills and to promote the sport of bicycling. We do not ride when weather conditions are unsafe or if there is an OCW special event on Saturday. If you are new to OCW rides or are just returning to cycling, let us know, so we can suggest a group that fits your current riding ability.

If the ride is cancelled, the calendar will be updated at least 1 hour prior to the ride start time with the word “CANCELLED”.

Tom’s Farm is a nice easy route and I want to encourage new riders to join in with us in 2024.  All are welcome on these Saturday Centuries. 

Years ago, Dennis Thomas recommended that we climb up Green River to West Foothill Parkway to East Foothill Parkway all the way out to Temescal Canyon Road.  So I updated this Route Sheet to reflect that change.  
The route has been modified again to take out the bad road at the beginning of Temescal Canyon and now goes up Main St to Upper Dr and Masters Dr to Eagle Glen Pkwy before turning on Temescal Canyon.  The route has also been changed on the way back to avoid the bad section of Temescal Canyon.  There is also a loop added down by Tom's Farm.

This route has one official distance of 90 miles.  It is an out and back course so it can be cut short if necessary by turning around at the first Water Stop at mile 33 for example turning it into about 66 miles.  Or you name it ... you can turn around whenever you need so come join us whether you want to ride 25, 50, 75, or 90 miles ... or anything in between.  For those that live out in the Anaheim Hills, Yorba Linda and Placentia areas you can meet up with the ride along Santa Ana Canyon and shorten the distance.

This ride will start at “The Square” (formerly Foodpark) in Irvine at Main and MacArthur (TBM 859-G4/28-C3) at 7:30 A.M. sharp so you should arrive by 7:15 A.M. Main and MacArthur is near the intersection of the San Diego Freeway (405) and the Newport (55) Freeway. Take the MacArthur Blvd. exit from the San Diego (405) Freeway and turn North ... Main Street is the first street Northeast of the 405 Freeway. Meet in the Parking Lot behind the Starbucks.
