OCW Metric Rides
We’re looking for volunteers to help keep these great OCW traditions rolling!
For many years, Liz and Stuart Gaston (and friends) have generously organized and supported our Metric rides. We are incredibly grateful for all they've done!
Now it's time to share the load… or better yet, share the JOY!
By spreading out the responsibilities, we can keep volunteering simple, fun, and rewarding for everyone.
How Can You Help?
There are plenty of ways to pitch in, and even helping with just one task/event makes a difference!
Main Lunch: Order, pick up, and deliver pizza, sandwiches, tacos, or other lunch items.
Lunch Extras: Pick up and deliver ice, drinks, chips, dessert.
Setup: Help set up the tables, pop-ups, and other lunch supplies.
Lunch Service: Help serve food to our hungry riders.
Cleanup: Help pack up supplies and clean the finish area.
Rest Stops (on some routes): Provide water, fruit, snacks, and encouragement along the route.
Other: Have another way you'd like to help? We'd love to hear it!
Many Hands Make Light Work — and More Fun!
No big commitments needed! Volunteer for one task, one event, or several. Every bit of help is appreciated!
Ready to join the fun? Reply below or email Terry Kessler (or any board member) to volunteer for the upcoming Fall Metric or to be added to our volunteer list for the following Winter or Spring Metric dates.
Fall Metric – November 21: El Camino Real Park / Everywhere Brewery, Orange
Winter Metric – February 20 (tentative date/location): The Brewhouse, San Juan Capistrano
Spring Metric – May 29 (tentative date/location): Huntington Beach Park
Together, let's keep these great OCW traditions rolling!
